Copper Trail Anglesey

Description

This splendid circular cycle route takes you on a tour of the wonderful Isle of Anglesey in Wales. The route follows National Cycle Network route 566 on a series of quiet country lanes.
The route starts at Llynnon Mill, near Llanddeusant and heads to Llanerchymedd. You continue to Penysarn where you pass the disused copper mines of Parys Mountain after which the route takes its name. The mines are an extraordinary sight, rich with various ores and minerals and well worth a short detour.
You continue to Llaneilian and then on to the town of Amlwch before heading to Llanfechell. The route then heads to the coast and the delightful ,Cemlyn Bay Nature Reserve where you can look out for a variety of coastal birds.
