Boscastle to Rocky Valley Walk

2.9 miles (4.6 km)

This walk follows a section of the South West Coast Path from Boscastle to the Rocky Valley near Bossiney. It's roughly a 3 mile walk from the village to the delightful valley.
Leaving Boscastle, the route follows a dramatic stretch of the north Cornwall coast, passing high cliffs, rocky coves and open grassland with extensive views across the Atlantic.... The coastline here is shaped by resistant slate and sandstone, creating a rugged landscape of headlands, sea stacks and narrow inlets that support a variety of coastal plants and seabirds.
Rocky Valley is a steep-sided wooded ravine carved by the Trevillet River as it descends towards the sea. A series of small waterfalls and cascades flow through the valley, while the rocky stream bed is crossed by footbridges and bordered by ferns, mosses and native woodland. The valley is also known for a number of prehistoric rock carvings cut into exposed stone near the river, adding an archaeological interest to the natural scenery.
