Capel Garmon Burial Chamber Walk

7.1 miles (11.5 km)

This circular walk visits the Capel Garmon Neolithic burial chamber and the beautiful Conwy Falls near Betws y Coed.
The route follows country lanes and woodland paths through peaceful rural scenery, linking two of the area’s most striking landmarks. The Capel Garmon burial chamber is a well-preserved Neolithic tomb dating from around 3,000 BC, featuring a large central chamber and two side chambers built from massive stone slabs.... From the site there are fine views across the Conwy Valley towards Snowdonia’s peaks.
Continuing through the woods, the walk leads to Conwy Falls, where the river plunges through a deep wooded gorge surrounded by mossy rocks and native trees. A short path leads to viewpoints overlooking the waterfall, offering an impressive sight after heavy rain.
The combination of prehistoric remains and natural scenery makes this a varied and rewarding walk, blending ancient history with the rugged beauty typical of the Betws y Coed area.
The route also passes close to the delightful Fairy Glen Betws y Coed on the western edge.
