Dersingham Bog Circular Walk
This circular walk explores the Dersingham Bog Site of Special Scientific Interest in North Norfolk. The nature reserve is part of the wider Sandringham Royal Estate and includes attractive heathland with interesting flora and fauna to see. Keep your eyes peeled for Nightjar, woodlark and tree pipit as you make your way around the expansive site.
You can start the walk from the car park just south east of Wolferton village. You can then pick up series of footpaths and boardwalks taking you around the bog. The walk can be extended by heading to Dersingham Common which lies just to the east of the bog on the outskirts of the village.

To the north there's Dersingham village where you can enjoy post walk refreshment at the Coach & Horses pub. They serve good quality food and have a nice garden area to relax in on warmer days. You can find them at 77 Manor Rd, PE31 6LN.
The woodland and heathland are a nice place for a dog walk. You are advised to keep them in leads for most of the trails because of the wildlife.
Further Information and Other Local Ideas
Sandringham Country Park lies just to the east. There are waymarked trails, lakes and lovely gardens in the grounds of this Royal estate. Near the start in Wolferton you can pay a visit to the noteworthy Wolferton Railway Station. The now disused station was well known during the 1800’s through its association with the Royal Family who used the station because of its proximity to Sandringham House.
