Kirkconnel Flow Walk

This walk visits the Kirkconnel Flow Nature Reserve in Dumfries and Galloway.
The reserve protects one of the few remaining lowland raised bogs in the region, offering a peaceful landscape of heather, mosses and open pools. A boardwalk path allows you to explore the area safely while protecting the delicate habitat underfoot.... It’s a good place for spotting dragonflies, damselflies, and a range of wetland birds, with views across the surrounding moorland and forest adding to the sense of remoteness.
You can extend your walk in the nearby Mabie Forest which lies just to the north west.
