Loch Sunart. Loch Sunart is a long sea loch on the west coast of Scotland, stretching for about 20 miles between the Morvern and Ardnamurchan peninsulas. It opens into the Sound of Mull and is one of the most scenic lochs in the Highlands, known for its deep, sheltered waters and unspoilt natural surroundings. The loch is lined with native oak woodlands, rocky shores and small inlets, while the surrounding hills rise steeply to give striking views across the water.

Wildlife hide, Loch Sunart. The loch is part of a designated Marine Protected Area due to its rich biodiversity. Its sheltered environment supports a wide range of marine life, including otters, seals and porpoises, as well as underwater habitats such as flame shell beds and seagrass meadows. Above the shoreline, the mixed woodland is home to species such as pine marten, red deer and a variety of birds including sea eagles and herons.
