Pen Dinas Walk

This circular walk climbs to Pen Dinas hillfort in Aberystwyth. The walk begins south of the town on the coast at The Bar.
From here you can follow footpaths up to the Iron Age fort and the Wellington Monument.... The summit offers 360-degree views encompassing Cardigan Bay to the west, the town of Aberystwyth and its Norman castle to the north, and the Cambrian Mountains to the east.
If you head north of the town you can continue your hill climbing on the Constitution Hill Walk.

Wellington Monument
This large stone monument is dedicated to the Duke of Wellington. It was built in the 1850's upon Pen Dinas overlooking Cardigan Bay and the town of Aberystwyth. The monument takes the form of an eighteen metre high upended cannon.
