Penmaenmawr Quarry Clock Walk

8 miles (12.8 km)

This circular walk visits the Penmaenmawr Quarries on the North Wales coast. The walk starts west of Penmaenmawr near Llanfairfechan.... From here you can climb inland through the old quarries and pick up the North Wales Path. The route then heads east towards Penmaenmawr where you join with the popular Jubilee Path. This elevated path was constructed in 1887 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
Along the route there are some fine views of the Penmaenmawr Quarry Clock. The iconic 12-foot diameter clock face is situated high on a concrete water tower overlooking the Penmaenmawr granite quarry and the A55 road in North Wales. Often referred to as "North Wales' Big Ben," the landmark has been a familiar sight to generations of locals and motorists.
The final section then runs along the coast path with some fine views out to sea.
