Raw Head Walk

This circular walk climbs to Raw Head, the highest point on the Bickerton Hills. The hill stands at a height of 227 m (745 ft) with wonderful views over the Cheshire Plain and the city of Liverpool to enjoy.... The trail starts and finishes in Burwardsley where refreshments are available.
On the way you will pass the viewpoint at Bulkeley Hill and a series of caves. There are also extended woodland sections and lots of wildlife to look out for. Keep your eyes peeled for various birds like redstarts and whitethroats, as welll as green hairstreak butterflies.
You can extend the walk by heading north east to visit the historic Peckforton Castle.
