Ayr to Troon Walk

This walk follows a section of the Ayrshire Coastal Path from Ayr to Troon via Prestwick.
The path links long stretches of sandy beach with promenade walking, giving open views across the Firth of Clyde.
Leaving Ayr, the route passes through the built-up seafront at Prestwick before returning to a more open coastal setting.... Much of the walk is level and well surfaced, making it straightforward underfoot, with the sea remaining a constant presence on the western side.
As you approach Troon the coastline becomes more developed again, with the harbour and golf courses coming into view. The walk ends in the town centre, where there are transport links and facilities, marking a clear and logical stopping point on this coastal section.
