This walk takes you along the River Boyle in the town of Boyle in County Roscommmon.
The short stroll takes you along both sides of the river and through the riverside park. You can extend the walk by heading east to visit the atmospheric ruins of the 12th century Boyle Abbey and the 12th century Abbeytown Bridge.... The bridge is notable as one of the oldest surviving stone bridges in Ireland.
To continue your walking near Boyle head to the Lough Key Forest Park, the ancient Carrowkeel or Lough Gara.
