Pubs/Cafes

The Dacre Arms is a historic pub of some note, dating back to the 16th century. Named after Lord and Lady Dacre, the inn became the most important Posting Station in the East Riding, offering visitors a refreshing drink and wholesome food. In one small room, the inn housed the local Court of Justice.  There was also a ‘secret’ room entered only by a trapdoor and serving fugitives from the 1745 Jacobite rebellion. Later smugglers used the room to hide contraband. You can find them on the Main Street at postcode YO25 8RL.
There's also the Black Swan for some refreshment after your exercise. The old coaching house includes a large car park and a garden area for warmer days. You can find them at postcode YO25 8RG for your sat navs.
