Moel Gyw Walk

8.7 miles (14 km)

This circular walk climbs to Moel Gyw in the Clwydian Range AONB.
The walk begins from the car park at the Pystyll Gwry Quarry just north of the village of Llanarmon-yn-Ial in Denbighshire. From here you can follow paths west to climb to the 467 metre high summit of Moel Gwy.... Along the way there are wonderful views over the Dee Valley landscape, the other mountains of the Clwydian Range and the limestone scenery of the valley of the River Alyn.
The route then continues round to Moel Llanfair before passing Llyn Gweryd and Llanarmon-yn-Ial. Here you can stop off for some refreshments in the village before heading back to the car park.
To continue your walking in the area you could head north to visit Moel Famau Country Park and Foel Fenlli.
