Tenby to Manorbier Walk

6.8 miles (11 km)

This walk runs from Tenby to Manorbier along a lovely section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
The route runs for just under 7 miles, following the waymarked trail along Tenby South Beach to Giltar Point. You continue west to the fine beach at Lydstep Haven before rounding Priest's Nose and finishing at the historic Manorbier Castle.
The landscape along this stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path is a masterclass in coastal geology, featuring dramatic limestone cliffs, deep sea caves, and hidden coves.... As you progress from Giltar Point, you'll enjoy sweeping views of Caldey Island and the expansive sands of Tenby South Beach. Wildlife enthusiasts should keep a sharp lookout for Atlantic grey seals in the secluded bays below, while the clifftops are frequently visited by rare choughs and peregrine falcons. During spring and summer, the path is carpeted with vibrant wildflowers, including thrift and sea pinks, which thrive in the salt-sprayed turf.
A significant highlight of the final leg is the remarkable Church Door Cove, where the ocean has carved a massive, door-like arch into the rock. Nearby, the golden sands of Skrinkle Haven are accessible at low tide via a concealed passageway, offering a truly "Jurassic Park" atmosphere. Before reaching the village, you pass the King's Quoit, a Neolithic burial chamber that has overlooked the sea for over 5,000 years. The walk concludes in Manorbier, where the imposing 12th-century Manorbier Castle and the historic Church of St James stand as a grand finale to one of Wales' most breathtaking coastal trails.
