Trefor Sea Stacks Walk
1 mile (1.6 km)This walk takes you along a section of the Llyn Coastal Path to visit the Trefor Sea Stacks near the Gwynedd village of Trefor. The site includes photogenic rock formations that have been sculpted by the sea over thousands of years.
You can start the walk from the public car park west of the village, near the harbour and pier.... From here you can pick up the coastal path and follow it west past the beach to the stacks at Ynys Bach and Ynys Fawr.
Along the way you can enjoy some wonderful cliff top views over the estuary of Afon Tal. The stacks are also popular roosting sites for sea birds so keep your eyes peeled for a variety of wildlife on the walk.
To continue your walking in the area you could head up to the nearby Trefor Quarry. There's some good footpaths around the unusual quarry landscape with fine coastal views from the elevated position of the site.
