Cwm Du Glen Walk

1.6 miles (2.5 km)

This walk takes you through the Cwm Du Glen Nature Reserve in Pontardawe.
The trail takes you through a narrow gorge running along the Upper Clydach River on the western side of the town. On the way you will pass the sight of Glanrhyd House.... The house was used as a hospital during the First World War but was demolished in 1968. On the walk you will pass the remains of the old gardens and swimming pool.
Along the route there are also a series of picturesque waterfalls to see. You can continue your waterside walking in the town by picking up the Swansea Canal.
