Beach at Ferryside
Beach at Ferryside. View towards Ferry Point. As the name suggests, this was an historically important crossing place on the Towy estuary. It was on the medieval pilgrims' route to St. David's cathedral. After the railway opened in 1852, holidaymakers used to arrive by train at Ferryside and cross by boat to Llansteffan. Ferries no longer operate from here.
