Pontymister River Walk

This walk takes you along the Ebbw River in the village of Pontymister near Newport.
The flat waterside path will take you south east along the river with nice views of the surrounding countryside.
The easy route is popular with families and local residents for its ease of use and scenic views of the water.... Starting near the centre of Pontymister, the path follows the river's flow through a mix of wooded sections and open areas, providing a peaceful environment for walking, jogging, or birdwatching. The trail is dog-friendly and often serves as a connecting route to larger local networks, such as the Sirhowy Valley Line. The Risca Crumlin Canal Walk on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal also runs close by so you could continue your waterside walking along the towpath.
