Buxton to Bakewell Walk

This walk runs from Buxton to Bakewell in the Derbyshire Peak District. The trail runs for around 15 miles following the waymarked Midshires Way and the Monsal Trail between the two popular Derbyshire towns.
Starting from the train station in Buxton you first head south east to Cowdale and Deep Dale.... Here you turn north east towards Wye Dale where you pick up the River Wye and the Monsal Trail.
The shared cycling and walking trail heads east along the river through a series of lovely Derbyshire Dales with splendid views of the Peak District hills from the high points. You then descend into picturesque Bakewell, finishing near the tourist information centre and main car park.
