Cawfield Quarry Walk

This circular walk explores Cawfield Quarry and Lake in Northumberland. The quarry is located north of Haltwhistle next to Hadrian's Wall.
The walk starts from the car park on the western side of the quarry.... Here you can pick up the Hadrian's Wall Path and follow it above the quarry to Cawfield Crags where there are some fine views back to the pretty lake and to the surrounding hills. The walk then continues along the historic wall before returning on an alternative path to the south.
To extend the walk continue east to visit the fascinating Housesteads Roman Fort.
