Letterkeen Loop Car Park & Brogan Carroll Bothy, Nephin Beg Mtns. The loop follows parts of the Letterkeen bothy and old roadway network, crossing streams and passing small waterfalls as it heads deeper into the Nephin Beg range. The terrain varies between firm tracks and rougher ground, with quiet sections where the sense of remoteness becomes a defining feature of the walk.
Higher points on the route provide views across the Nephin Beg Mountains and surrounding wilderness, while the return follows quieter tracks back towards the trailhead. The loop combines upland scenery, river features and the distinctive open landscapes that characterise Wild Nephin National Park.
