Rhoose Point Walk

1.9 miles (3 km)

This circular walk takes you to Rhoose Point on the Vale of Glamorgan coast near Cardiff.
You can start the walk from Rhoose Railway Station and follow paths south to reach the coast above the rocky shoreline. Here the scenery opens out immediately, with wide views across the Bristol Channel and the low cliffs that characterise this part of the Glamorgan coast.... The path then curves east towards Rhoose Point, passing areas of grassland where kestrels, stonechats and various coastal birds are often seen.
Rhoose Point itself is marked as the most southerly point of mainland Wales. The headland offers a clear outlook across the water and over the rugged foreshore below, where the tide exposes long, flat rock platforms.
You can extend the walk by heading east to Porthkerry Country Park and Barry Island.
