Nercwys Forest Circular Walk

2.5 miles (4 km)

This circular walk in the Clwydian Range AONB explores a peaceful area of woodland to the south of Mold.
The woods are a pleasant place for a walk with miles of easy trails and lots of wildlife to see. Keep your eyes peeled for buzzards, goldcrests and coal tits as you make your way along the paths.
Other features include Llyn Ochin and Nercwys Mountain where you can enjoy some fine views over the surrounding area.... There's also a ruined 19th-century lead mine and a wildflower meadow which attracts many butterflies during the warmer months.
There are waymarked walking trails and cycle trails too. To continue your walking in the area head north to visit the popular Loggerheads Country Park.
