Mold Glasfryn and Gwysaney Circular Walk

5 miles (8.1 km)

This popular circular walk in Mold visits the Glasfryn Pub, the lovely Gwysaney Hall Estate and the village of Soughton.
Glasfryn is a well-known local pub and restaurant, set just outside the town, and makes a natural stopping point on the route, with views across surrounding fields and the Clwydian foothills. From here the walk continues through the Gwysaney Hall Estate, an extensive historic parkland centred on a long-established country house.... The estate is known for its mature woodland, open pasture and gently undulating landscape, with occasional long views across the Flintshire countryside and towards the Clwydian Range on clear days.
Beyond the estate the route reaches the small village of Soughton, characterised by traditional houses, quiet lanes and a distinctly rural feel despite its proximity to Mold. The return section links together footpaths and tracks through farmland and hedgerows, giving a varied walk that combines local history, attractive scenery and easy access to countryside right on the edge of the town.
You can continue your walking in the area by visiting the ancient fort of Moel Y Gaer on the Halkyn Mountain Walk.
