Tarbat Ness Lighthouse Walk

0.9 miles (1.4 km)

This walk visits the Tarbat Ness Lighthouse on the Tarbat Peninsula in Easter Ross.
You can start the walk from the parking area just south of the lighthouse. From the parking area, the route follows the coastal path along the peninsula, offering uninterrupted views across the Moray Firth and the surrounding coastline.... The lighthouse, a striking white tower, stands at the tip of the peninsula and serves as a prominent landmark visible for miles. The path passes grassy cliffs and low coastal scrub, where seabirds such as gulls and terns are often seen flying overhead or resting along the shore.
As you continue along the trail, there are occasional benches and viewpoints where you can pause and take in the scenery. The walk then loops back inland through quiet lanes and open fields, giving a different perspective of the Tarbat Ness area and the small settlements dotted across the peninsula.
To continue your walking in the area head south west to pick up the Loch Eye Walk and the Aldie Burn Forest Walk.
