Bewdley to Bridgnorth River Walk

This riverside walk takes you from Bewdley to Bridgnorth along a section of the Severn Way. The route runs for just over 14 miles, following the waymarked path north and passing Upper Arley, Severn Valley Country Park, Highley, Hampton and the Chelmarsh Reservoir before arriving in Bridgnorth.... The Severn Valley Railway runs alongside the route so you can look out for the heritage trains as you go.
The route follows the River Severn for much of the way, with a mixture of riverside paths, woodland and open countryside. There are fine views across the wooded Severn Valley, with several attractive villages and riverside settlements to explore along the way. The route also passes close to the historic Arley Arboretum, while the Severn Valley Country Park provides another particularly scenic section of the walk.
The walk finishes in Bridgnorth, where you can explore the historic town on both sides of the River Severn. The High Town and Low Town are linked by the distinctive funicular railway, while the ruins of Bridgnorth Castle and the riverside provide further highlights at the end of the route.
