The Brockley Three Peaks walk is a scenic five-mile circular route that explores the high points and green corridors of Southeast London, linking the summits of Blythe Hill Fields, One Tree Hill, and Hilly Fields.
Starting and ending at Ladywell station, the trail leads walkers through a diverse mix of parkland, woodland paths, and quiet suburban streets. One of the primary attractions is the series of panoramic views over the city skyline, where the high elevation of the three "peaks" offers clear sightings of landmarks like The Shard and the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf....
The journey begins with a steady ascent through Hilly Fields, home to a prominent stone circle and a popular park cafe. From here, the path descends into Ladywell Fields, following the gentle flow of the River Ravensbourne before climbing again toward the summit of Blythe Hill Fields. This section is notable for its expansive grassy slopes and a recently planted "Tiny Forest". The route then continues toward One Tree Hill, a wooded nature reserve that provides some of the most atmospheric vantage points in the area. Throughout the walk, participants weave through historic sites, including the tranquil grounds of Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries, and pass through local independent shopping parades in Crofton Park and Honor Oak.
While the walk is generally considered leisurely and follows well-maintained surfaces, it includes several steep inclines and declines that can become slippery after rain. Most walkers can complete the full circuit in approximately two hours, though many choose to linger at the viewpoints or stop at the various pubs and cafes along the route.
