Chatteris Circular Walk

5.2 miles (8.3 km)

This circular walk explores the area to the south of the Cambridgeshire town of Chatteris. The route takes place mainly on the drove tracks around Little Acre Fen.
The flat, open landscape around Little Acre Fen provides a good example of the distinctive Fenland scenery, with wide skies, farmland and long, straight drove tracks stretching across the countryside.... It is a peaceful area for walking, with the quiet rural surroundings offering a chance to enjoy the open character of the Fens away from the town.
The route also gives you the opportunity to explore the countryside around Chatteris, a historic Fenland market town surrounded by a network of drainage channels, waterways and agricultural land. The combination of the town's history and the expansive landscape of the surrounding Fens makes this a pleasant walk for anyone looking to discover this part of Cambridgeshire.
