Churn Clough Reservoir Walk

This short circular walk visits Churn Clough Reservoir from the village of Sabden in the Forest of Bowland. The picturesque reservoir is located just a short distance north of the village and can be easily reached on various public footpaths.
The route takes you through the attractive countryside of the Forest of Bowland, with open moorland, grassy hillsides and views across the surrounding Lancashire countryside.... Churn Clough Reservoir is a particularly peaceful spot, surrounded by the rugged landscape of the Bowland Fells.
The reservoir was built in the 19th century to supply water to the local area and is now a quiet wildlife spot. The surrounding paths provide views across the valley and towards the hills beyond, with the scenery changing between open fields and rougher moorland as the walk progresses.
