Goring to Wallingford Thames Path Walk

6.7 miles (10.8 km)

This easy riverside walk follows the Thames Path from Goring to Wallingford. The route runs for just under 7 miles, heading north past Streatley, Moulsford, Cholsey and North Stoke before finishing on Wallingford Bridge.
The walk takes you through a pleasant stretch of the Thames Valley, with the river accompanied by open meadows, wooded slopes and attractive countryside.... After leaving Goring, the path passes through Streatley and then continues north along the western bank of the Thames, with the surrounding Chiltern landscape providing a scenic backdrop.
Moulsford and North Stoke provide interesting villages along the route, while the riverside sections offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy the changing scenery along the Thames. Around Cholsey, the landscape becomes more open as the path continues towards Wallingford, with views across the surrounding farmland and the river valley.
The walk finishes at Wallingford Bridge, a historic crossing over the Thames dating from the 19th century. Wallingford itself is well worth exploring, with its medieval castle ruins, historic town centre and riverside setting providing plenty of interest after the walk.
