Keswick to Barrow Walk Map

39.8 miles (64 km)

The Keswick to Barrow Walk is an annual organised charity challenge, covering approximately 39.5 miles through the Lake District from Keswick to Barrow-in-Furness.
The route starts at Legburthwaite, close to the northern end of Thirlmere, on the east side.... It then passes through spectacular Lakeland scenery, including the Grasmere and Elterwater areas, the Langdale valleys and Coniston, before crossing Kirkby Moor towards the Furness peninsula. Participants take on the demanding walk in teams to raise money for charities and good causes, with checkpoints, refreshments and support along the way. The shorter Coniston to Barrow route offers a half-distance alternative at around 21 miles.
