Killykeen Forest Lough Oughter Walk

This circular walk explores Killykeen Forest on the edge of Lough Oughter in County Cavan.
You can start off from the car park and then follow the waymarked trails through the peaceful woodland. Along the way there's some splendid views over the lake and its many islands.
To continue your walking around Lough Oughter you pick up the Bailieborough Castle Lake Walk to the east.

Killykeen June 18
Killykeen and the Lough. The Forest Park is a 240-hectare (approx. 600-acre) scenic recreation area in County Cavan, Ireland, located roughly 12km northwest of Cavan Town. Wrapped around the complex Lough Oughter lake system, it is part of the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark and is managed by Coillte.
