You can start your walk at the Long Point car park on the eastern side of the lake. Here you can pick up a lovely lakeside path with some excellent views over the water.
You can continue your walking in the area on the Gort River Walk or the Ballinasloe Forest Walk - Woodlawn Woods Walk.
