Cannock Chase Sherbrook Valley Walk

This circular walk explores the Sherbrook Valley and Abraham's Valley from Cannock Chase Country Park. You can start and finish the walk from the country park visitor centre car park.... Follow the trails north west and they will take you along the Sher Brook in the Sherbrook Valley. The route then heads east to Beggar's Hill before turning south through Abraham's Valley to return to the park.
The walk takes you through some of the most attractive scenery in Cannock Chase, with wooded valleys, open heathland and peaceful waterside trails along the brook. The valley is particularly scenic, with the stream winding through woodland and providing a tranquil setting for the walk.
Around Beggar's Hill the landscape opens out, with more extensive views across Cannock Chase. The route then passes through Abraham's Valley, another attractive wooded area with a mixture of mature trees, heathland and wildlife habitats.
Cannock Chase is well known for its varied wildlife, including deer and a wide range of woodland and heathland birds. The country park also has an extensive network of walking and cycling trails, making this a good way to explore some of the quieter valleys in the area.
