Thornborough Henges Walk

This walk visits the Thornborough Henges near West Tanfield in North Yorkshire. The ancient site is often referred to as the 'The Stonehenge of the North'.
There is a roadside parking area next to the site where you can start your walk. From here you can head through the gate to visit the northern henges before heading south to visit the southern henge on the other side of the road.
From the henges there are some fine views of the surrounding countryside as well.
You can continue your walking at the nearby Nosterfield Nature Reserve.
