Arley to Bewdley River Walk

3.9 miles (6.3 km)

This riverside walk follows the Severn Way from Upper Arley to Bewdley. The route runs for about 4 miles, following the waymarked footpath south past Trimpley Reservoir and Eymore Wood before finishing in Bewdley....
The route passes through attractive countryside along the River Severn, with a mixture of woodland, riverside scenery and open stretches of farmland. The section around Trimpley Reservoir is particularly scenic, with the path passing through Eymore Wood and offering views across the reservoir and surrounding wooded hills.
The route follows a former railway corridor in places, with the Severn Way providing a peaceful waymarked trail through this wooded section of the Severn Valley. The river remains a constant feature as the walk continues south towards Bewdley.
Bewdley is a particularly attractive riverside town and makes a fitting finish to the walk. The historic town centre has attractive Georgian buildings and sits directly beside the River Severn, while the Severn Valley Railway is another major local attraction.
