Lyme Regis to Beer Walk
8.5 miles (13.6 km)This walk follows a section of the South West Coast Path from Dorset based Lyme Regis to Beer in Devon.
The route runs for 8.5 miles following the waymarked path to Seaton on the popular Lyme Regis to Seaton Undercliff Walk. The route then continues onto the village of Beer.
The journey through the Undercliff National Nature Reserve is one of the most unique stretches of the coastline, featuring a lush, jungle-like environment created by a massive 19th-century landslip.... This secluded wilderness is home to rare ferns and diverse birdlife, offering a sheltered contrast to the exposed cliff tops found elsewhere. After emerging from the forest canopy at Seaton, the trail follows the promenade before ascending the towering white chalk cliffs of Beer Head. From these heights, you can enjoy expansive views back across the Jurassic Coast toward Portland Bill before descending into the picturesque fishing village of Beer, known for its limestone cliffs and pebble beach where local boats are still winched up the shingle.
