Porthleven to Lizard Coastal Walk

This walk takes you along the South West Coast Path from Porthleven to the Lizard Lighthouse on the southern tip of England. The route runs for about 11 miles, following the waymarked path south to Gunwalloe, Mullion Cove, Predannack Cliff and Kynance Cove before rounding Lizard Point and finishing at the lighthouse.
This route showcases some of the finest scenery on the Lizard Peninsula, passing a varied coastline of sandy coves, rocky headlands and dramatic cliffs.... After leaving Porthleven and passing Gunwalloe, the path continues through a landscape of coastal grassland and heath, with extensive views across Mount's Bay and the open Atlantic. Seabirds are commonly seen along the cliffs, while grey seals are regularly spotted in the waters below.
Mullion Cove is one of the highlights of the walk, with its historic harbour sheltered by substantial stone breakwaters beneath steep cliffs. Further south, the route passes beneath Predannack Cliff, one of the highest sea cliffs in Cornwall, where the elevated path provides far-reaching coastal views. The coastline here is notable for its unusual geology, including serpentine rock that gives parts of the landscape their distinctive colours and supports a number of rare plant species.
Approaching the southern tip of the peninsula, the path passes the turquoise waters and striking rock formations of Kynance Cove, widely regarded as one of Cornwall's most spectacular coastal locations. The final section rounds Lizard Point, the southernmost point of mainland Great Britain, before reaching the lighthouse. Built to guide shipping around this notoriously hazardous coastline, the lighthouse stands above a rugged shoreline where powerful seas and dramatic scenery combine to create one of the most memorable stretches of the South West Coast Path.
