National Cycle Route 563

This signed Sustrans cycle route connects Connah's Quay and the Chester Railway Path near Ellesmere Port.
As such the route takes you from North Wales to the Mersey Estuary in Cheshire, England.
On the way there are some pleasant countryside views and a visit to Stanney Woods country park and nature reserve. In Ellesmere Port you can continue your outing along the Shropshire Union Canal. There's also the Chester Millennium Greenway which runs along an old railway line from Chester to the Wharf at Connah's Quay.
