4.3 miles (6.9 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This circular walk explores the woodland and countryside surrounding the Cambridgeshire villages of Great Gransden of Waresley.
Starting in the village you pick up footpaths heading south to Great Gransden Wood and Waresley Wood where there are pretty bluebells in the spring.
Near here you can follow a country lane west to pay a visit to Waresley village where you could stop for some refreshments.
In the area you can also see Great Gransden post mill which is the oldest in England. It is a significant historical building thought to date to 1612. The grade I listed church here dates back to the 14th century.
To continue your walking in the area head south to neighbouring Gamlingay where you can explore Potton Wood and pick up the long distance Clopton Way.
