Hinton Parva, The Coombes and Bishopstone Circular Walk

4 miles (6.5 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This circular walk explores the area surrounding the Wiltshire villages of Hinton Parva and Bishopstone.
On the way you will pass the National Trust's The Coombes. This steep-sided dry stream valley is located on the edge of the Marlborough Downs near Swindon. It's a lovely spot in the warmer months when you can see lots of pretty wildflowers an a variety of butterflies.
On the walk you can also visit Hinton Parva's Grade I listed church and enjoy some fine views over the North Wessex Downs AONB.
The southern part of the route uses a section of The Ridgeway National Trail. You could follow the trail east to pick up the Ashbury to Ashdown House Circular Walk and visit another National Trust property at the historic Ashdown House.
