Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This short circular walk takes you through the peaceful Holly Hill Woodland Park and along the estuary of the River Hamble. The park has two distinctive areas - Winnards Copse with a more formal landscape, lakes and ornamental exotic species and Cawtes Copse with its mix of native woodland species. There are two way marked trails of varying length following the footpath network around the site. The park is located in Sarisbury near Southampton and Fareham.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas

The River Hamble Walk starts in the nearby village of Warsash. It runs past the western end of the park to Lower Swanick and Bursledon. You could easily pick it up to extend your walking in the area.
A couple of miles to the north you'll find the Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve. There's nice trails here taking you around woodland, meadows and lakes with lots of interesting flora and fauna to see on the way.

Holly Hill Woodland Park.  A generally well kept Victorian garden, managed by Fareham Borough Council. Like many areas planted by Victorians (and others) there are areas of Rhododendrons that, if left uncontrolled, will spread through the woodland. Some signs of management work on it.
