10.8 miles (17.4 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk links the North Yorkshire settlements of Skipton and Malham.
The route runs for a distance of just under 11 miles following the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the Pennine Way.
The first section is quite easy, following the flat towpath of the canal to Gargrave. You then continue along the Pennine Way on a more challenging section with some moderate climbs. From the high points there are some excellent views over the scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. At the northern end of the route you can continue your walking at the popular Malham Tarn Estate and Malham Cove.
