Carlow River Barrow Walk

This walk follows a section of the Barrow Way from Carlow to Athy in County Carlow and County Kildare.
This section of the waymarked trail runs north from Carlow for just over 20km to reach the nearby town of Athy. Here the river joins with the Grand Canal.... The flat trail runs right along the River Barrow with excellent views of the surrounding countryside to enjoy.
You can start off in Carlow in the pleasant riverside town park. In Athy you can catch a direct train back to Carlow.
