Lough MacNean Walk

This walk visits Lough MacNean on the border of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The pair of lakes straddle the borders of several counties including County Fermanagh, County Cavan and County Leitrim.
On the western side of the upper lake you'll find a pleasant lakeside walking trail running for 3.6km.... From here there's wonderful views across the water to the lakes many islands and the surrounding woodland and hills.
In between the two lake's you can visit the village of Belcoo and enjoy views of the Belcoo River.
To continue your walking in the area you could pick up the Cuilcagh Mountain Walk and Stairway to Heaven Walk where there's great views down to the lakes. The ancient Aghanaglack can be found just north of the lakes.

Lough Macnean Upper.  On the strip of land between the two lakes are the villages of Belcoo, County Fermanagh and Blacklion, County Cavan. A river, named the Belcoo River, runs between the villages, linking the eastern and western lakes.
