You can follow a trail around the reservoir for just under 5 miles. It's a remote and peaceful spot with lovely views over the still waters to the surrounding hills and forestry.
To the east of the site there's Glenbreck Woods, Fruid Reservoir and Talla Reservoir to explore.

Head east and you can enjoy more waterside walks along Megget Reservoir and St Mary's Loch. To the north there's the popular climb to the viewpoint at Tinto Hill.
Head south and you could visit the town of Moffat where you can enjoy a riverside walk along the River Annan on the Annadale Way. You can also pick up the epic Romans and Reivers Route in this area.
