Explore the parkland and woodland surrounding this Neo-Grecian house in Dinton, Salisbury.
There are good footpaths running past a pretty lake with some woodland paths as well. There are also great views across the Wiltshire countryside toward Salisbury Cathedral.
To extend your walking in the area you could head a few miles west and enjoy a circular walk around the lovely Fonthill Estate. The estate has nice footpaths with pockets of woodland and a large lake.
Old Wardour Castle is also nearby, located just to the south of Tisbury. There's some nice footpaths to follow around the woods and countryside surrounding the 14th century castle. Tisbury village is also a nice place for a stroll with quaint old cottages, a 12th century parish church, an ancient yew tree and a Grade I listed Tithe Barn to see.

Hyde's House, Dinton - - 1318912

Hyde's House, Dinton. This beautiful grade I listed house is an early C18 rebuilding of an earlier C17 house that once stood on the site. A former rectory, it was so named after the Hyde family who were resident here, one of whom was Edward Hyde, first Earl of Clarendon who was born here in 1609. The house has a tiled hipped mansard roof, with walls of limestone ashlar and rubble stone.

Marshwood House, Dinton. Late C17 Grade II Listed ashlar fronted farmhouse, with added wings of the 1780s and early C19. Marshwood was reputedly occupied by the Wyndham family during the rebuilding of nearby Phillips House.

Churchyard, The Church of St Mary, Dinton - - 865225

Churchyard, The Church of St Mary, Dinton. Slightly to the north lies the old thatched schoolroom built in the style of a "cottage orne". Also in the picture is the War Memorial for those villages who died in the two world wars.
