Lough Mourne

This walk visits Lough Mourne near the town of Ballybofey in east County Donegal.
The lake is located a few miles south west of Ballybofey. You can access a walking track at the eastern end of the lake, just off the N15 Road.... From here you can enjoy a peaceful stroll with fine views over the water to the Barnesmore Gap and the Bluestack Mountains. The trail will lead you down to the Mourne Beg River which flows out of the southern end of the lough.
You can continue your walking in the area by heading north to pick up the Letterkenny Corrvaddy Forest Loop Walk.
Along the quiet trail there are some wonderful views of the surrounding Bluestack Mountains to enjoy.
