Alnwick to Alnmouth Aln Valley Cycle Path
4.7 miles (7.5 km)
The Aln Valley Cycle Path links Alnwick to Alnmouth along a largely traffic free route, following part of the old Alnwick railway branch line.
Spanning approximately 4–5 miles, this ride offers a gentle, scenic journey on a smooth surface suitable for hybrid or trekking bikes, and is often classified as Route 1 of the Alnmouth parish guides. The route avoids busy roads, making it ideal for families and leisure cyclists.
You can continue your ride on the Alnwick to Berwick-upon-Tweed Cycle Route which will take you along NCN Route 1.
