This wonderful coastal cycle ride follows National Cycle Route 1 through St Cyrus, Johnshaven and Inverbervie giving splendid views of Montrose Bay, Inverbervie Bay and the North Sea coastline.
On the route is the striking hilltop Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven and the lovely harbour views at Johnshaven and Gourdon.
Around Montrose you will pass the historic House of Dun and the Montrose Basin and St Cyrus Nature Reserves. The reserves are a nice place to stop at with lots of birdlife and even whales to see on the coast.
